I asked my best friend, Debbie to model my dress, and let me photograph her with idea of painting her. We have been inseparable ever since we met in the 2nd grade! We’ve been through it all. She is my Person. I started the sketch live of her in her Tennessee home. It now graces her wall. It’s done uniquely with oil on heavy watercolor paper prepped with heavy gesso. Intricately with tiny brushes throughout. This dress is a collector of mine from the beautiful islands of West Indies and hand painted by artesians in Nevis and St Kitts.
